About

Lynwood United Reformed Church was organized on December 28, 1877. The church was comprised mainly of first generation Dutch immigrants who made the move from their homeland to the Roseland, Illinois area. The church’s original name, the “True Holland Reformed Church” reflected the congregation’s Dutch heritage as well as their dedication to the biblical, reformed faith.

Our church faithfully served the Roseland area for nearly 100 years. But in 1973, we made the move from Roseland to our current location in Lynwood, Illinois. Although the church underwent many changes down through the generations, the congregation never lost its fervor for the biblical, reformed faith. In 1995, Lynwood church joined a federation of like-minded churches called the United Reformed Churches in North America.

Our pastor’s name is Rev. Nick Alons.
